From there, we set off on a scenic journey, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the impressive Tichka Pass (2260m). Along the way, we pass through Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert,” before continuing through the Saghro Mountains and the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves and traditional villages such as Agdez, Nkoub, and Alnif.

As we approach the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, you’ll be captivated by the stunning landscapes of the Tafilalet palm grove. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to change into comfortable clothing and prepare for an unforgettable camel ride across the golden dunes. Capture breathtaking photos and enjoy the magical desert atmosphere as you make your way to the camp.

Once settled into your cozy desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with refreshing mint tea and have some time to relax. Witness a spectacular sunset from the top of the dunes before indulging in a delicious dinner under the stars. The route proceeds north to the largest town in the region, Er Rachidia. One traverses the Ziz Valley, notable for its multitude of palms and an abundance of high-quality dates.

Lunch is at Midelt, known as “the apple capital,” situated in the Middle Atlas Mountains at the base of Ayachi Mountain. We traverse the Tizi-n-Talremt pass and arrive in Azrou, where Barbary apes can be observed in the cedar woodlands foraging for morsels.
