With this 3-day Tour to Merzouga desert from Marrakech, you will spend a spectacular evening under the stars in the immense dunes, cross the Route of the thousand Kasbahs, discover landscapes full of history, immense palm groves, valleys, gorges, mountains and berber villages.

Itinerary: 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, early in the morning (8:00 am - 9:00 am) we start this 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert to the High Atlas Mountains.
We will cross the Tizi N'Tichka pass (the highest mountain pass in North Africa at 2260m). There will be stops along the way with panoramic views for spectacular photos. On the way, we will visit a local argan oil cooperative, where we will learn about the production process and the countless benefits it has for the human body.
We will continue south to the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site). In this spectacular natural setting, famous films such as Gladiator or Jewel of the Nile were filmed. Lunch on the way and continue to the city of Ouarzazate, considered the gateway to the great desert.
We will visit the film studios of Ouarzazate, which are very popular with filmmakers. A number of films have been shot here, including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, The Mummy, The Gladiator, Sahara, Alexander the Great and Heaven Protecting, among many others. One of the most famous series of all time has also passed through here: Game of Thrones. Finally we head to our accommodation in Ouarzazate, an authentic and charming Moroccan Riad. In this magical Riad we will have time to relax by the pool and enjoy a delicious mint tea in the gardens. In the evening, we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Valley of Roses and Dades - Todra Gorge - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga - Dromedary ride and overnight stay in the desert

After breakfast, early in the morning, we will pass through the palm grove of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, where we will continue our route through a road surrounded by small Berber villages and authentic and historical Kasbahs, all unique and different from each other.
After several photo stops, we will arrive at one of the highlights of the South: the Todra Gorge. The Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; it is a climber's paradise and a place of unique natural beauty. We will make a relaxing stop for lunch and continue our journey towards the most magical and desired point of our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert of Merzouga Erg Chebbi: the impressive dunes of Merzouga.
Once we arrive at the lodge, we will have a hospitality tea while we get some rest. We will leave our luggage and things we will not be using in the desert at the lodge and set off in a camel caravan that will take us to the Haima camp in the middle of the dunes for about an hour. We will make stops along the way to watch the majestic sunset over the Sahara sand. It is here that the dunes take on a reddish colour due to the play of light and shadow of the sun's rays on top of them, a magical spectacle that you won't be able to stop photographing. Once at the camp, we will be welcomed with a hospitality tea and before dinner, we will have free time to stretch our legs and enjoy the relaxation and silence of the dunes.
Afterwards, we will have dinner as a group, under a blanket of stars, in the immense silence of the Sahara dunes. A dinner prepared with authentic Moroccan products. After dinner, under the stars, the Berber party, live music with Berber drums and songs, and if you dare, you can participate by playing the drums yourself. We will have the opportunity to climb the dunes near the camp to discover shooting stars, make wishes and, together with the Berbers, listen to traditional Berber tales. We will spend the night in the middle of the Sahara desert, in the camp (tents in the dunes).

Day 3: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After a magical night in the desert, if you get up early enough, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the most spectacular sunrise of your life over the dunes. After a freshly cooked Berber breakfast, we will return early tomorrow morning to the lodge on the back of our camels and shower and have a freshly cooked Berber breakfast. We will then head to the Draa Valley, where we will pass through authentic Berber villages, where we will be able to contemplate the quiet and natural life of their indigenous population. We will cross the Zaghro to reach Ouarzazate, and finally we will head towards Marrakech crossing the High Atlas through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m). Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will transfer you to your Riad end of the tour and of our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert.
