Itinerary: 4 Days from Agadir to Merzouga Sahara Desert

Day 1: Agadir – Taliouine – Taznakht – Ait Ben Haddou

Venture on an enchanting 4 days / 3 nights from Agadir to Merzouga Sahara Desert. Departing early in the morning to discover the hidden gems of Morocco's breathtaking interior. Our driver will pick you up at your hotel or riad in Agadir. Our first stop will be in Taliouine, the city of saffron, belonging to the province of Taroudant. Our route will continue to the region of Ouarzazate, where we will visit the city of Taznakht and have free time to taste the exquisite Berber cuisine.

After lunch, we will continue through the landscapes of the Atlas heading south to the city of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its famous Kasbah and enjoy the stunning photogenic landscapes offered by this historic Berber fortress declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. After the walking tour, we will end this first day of our trip in a charming riad near the kasbah where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Valley of Roses - Todra Gorges - Rissani - Merzouga - Night in the berber camp.

After breakfast, we continue our 4 days Desert tour to the Merzouga desert. We will leave for Ouarzazate and continue to the Valley of the Roses, Dades Valley passing through the palm grove of Skoura where the route of the Thousand Kasbahs (a road dotted with Kasbahs all different) begins. After several photographic stops, we will arrive at one of the strongest points of the South: The Todra Gorges. The Todra river has formed a huge vertical walls of great natural beauty, a paradise for climbers, a place of unique beauty.

Then we will continue our journey to the Sahara desert, until we reach the impressive Merzouga Dunes, where we will ride on the back of our camels for a ride of about an hour between the golden dunes where we can photograph their magical shapes and colors until our arrival at the Berber camp. Once here, we will have a welcome tea.

From the top of the dunes we will have the opportunity to contemplate the natural spectacle of watching the sunset in the desert. Already in Erg Chebbi camp, we will spend a magical night, where we will dine under the stars, enlivened by live Berber drum music show and sleep in a berber desert camp until sunrise.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert - Rissani - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate

Start your day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the fiery dunes, as the interplay of light and shadows with the first sunrays creates an indelible image etched into your memory. After savoring a freshly prepared Berber breakfast, we'll return by camel to our lodge, where our waiting vehicle marks the next leg of our 4-day Merzouga Desert adventure from Agadir. On this third day, our journey leads us to Ouarzazate, meandering through the enchanting villages of Rissani, Alnif, Tazzarine (famous for 'Babel' filming), and N'Qob, where we'll pause for a delightful lunch. In the afternoon, we'll traverse the Draa Valley and tread the ancient caravan route, enveloped by vast palm groves and historic Kasbahs seamlessly integrated into the landscape, with Tamnougalt as a standout gem. We'll eventually rejoin the paved road in Agdez, crossing the Anti-Atlas and ascending the Tizi-n-Tinfifite mountain pass (1660 meters) to culminate our day in the captivating city of Ouarzazate. There, we'll retire to our charming Riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Taznakht - Taroudant – Agadir

Following breakfast at the riad, we'll explore the enchanting Kasbah of Taourirte in Ouarzazate, then set out on our journey towards Tazenakht and Taroudant, often referred to as 'Little Marrakech.' After a leisurely lunch at your own pace, our path will wind through the Taroudannt province, with the majestic Atlas Mountains as our constant backdrop. Finally, we'll reach Agadir, where in the late afternoon, we'll transfer you to your hotel or riad, marking the conclusion of our 4 Days from Agadir to Merzouga Sahara Desert.
