THE ITINERARY : 3 days tour from Agadir to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Agadir - Taroudante - Taliouine - Taznakht - Ouarzazate.

At about 8 a.m. our guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Agadir to start our 3 days tour to the desert of Merzouga from Agadir, after about an hour drive we will arrive to the city of Taroudante (known as the little Marrakech), where we will stop to enjoy and photograph the impressive wall that surrounds the city of Taroudante. We will continue our journey to Taliouine, known as the city of saffron, is the heart of the saffron growing area in Morocco and we will have the opportunity to visit a local cooperative saffron producer. We will continue our route to Ait Ben Haddou, located 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate. We will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest and most ancient of all the Kasbahs of Morocco. Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, the Kasbah is a large fortification built in adobe that is located within the route of the thousand kasbahs. We will continue our trip to Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the desert or Hollywood of Africa, as the city has one of the largest film studios in the world, where they have filmed many famous movies that you have surely seen as "Gladiator", "The Jewel of the Nile", "The Sahara", "Babel" ... In the afternoon-evening, we will arrive at our accommodation in Ouarzazate, a typical riad with charm where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Dades Gorges - Todra Gorge - Merzouga - Dromedary Ride - Night a Desert Camp.

After breakfast at the riad, we will start this second day of our Merzouga desert tour from Agadir. We will start our journey to the Sahara desert through the "Route of the thousand kasbahs" the fascinating fortifications and adobe villages that will accompany us in the landscape throughout the tour. We will have a stop in Kalaat M'gouna, "The city of the rose", this village located in the Valley of the Roses is known for the production of roses and for its annual festival held in May during the spring harvest of this beautiful flower. We will continue the excursion to the Dades Valley and Tinghir where we will visit the Todra Valley. On the way we can enjoy and photograph the breathtaking panoramic views of the ancient Berber adobe villages overlooking the valley. In the Todra Gorges, we will stop to walk under the 300 meters high reddish cliffs that form this impressive natural site, where many climbers visit to enjoy their favorite sport. After this stop, we will continue our journey to Erfoud and Rissani where we will have time to have lunch and relax before continuing our excursion to one of the highlights of our three day Merzouga desert tour from Agadir and the most sought after destination for visitors to Morocco, the Sahara desert and the impressive Merzouga Dunes, we will go to the meeting point where we will change our vehicle and change our 4x4 for the backs of your private camels that will be waiting for you for a pleasant ride of about an hour between the magical dunes of Erg Chebbi and explore the mysterious sands of the Sahara while watching the spectacular sunset between the dunes. Back at the Berber camp, we will have time to stretch our legs and relax with a welcome tea. We will have dinner under the stars and then enjoy a live Berber drumming show. Overnight in an authentic Berber haima until sunrise the next day.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Nkob - Agdiz - Taznakht - Taliouine - Agadir.

If you get up early enough, you can enjoy one of the most unforgettable natural spectacles of your life, the sunrise between the golden dunes of the Sahara. After sunrise, we will have a replenishing and delicious freshly cooked Berber breakfast at the camp. We will ride back on our camels that will take us to our vehicle to continue our excursion to Rissani (formerly called Sijilmassa). It is an authentic Moroccan village, famous for its large market, with a majority population of veiled women and men with typical chillaba and turbans, in addition to its characteristic donkey parking. We will continue to Agadir, through Alnif, Tazarine, Nkob and Agdiz, where we will enjoy the panoramic view of the fascinating Draa Valley, with hundreds of Berber kasbahs dotted among the green valleys and palm groves. We will continue our excursion to Taznakht, Taliouine and finally arrive in Agadir for sunset, transfer to your accommodation in Agadir and end of our services and our 3 days trip to the desert of Merzouga from Agadir.
