Explore and discover the south of Morocco with this 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert Tour. We will start our trip from Fes and we will drive to the south visiting the Ifrane or called the Switzerland of Morocco the visiting the cedar’s forest of Azrou before reaching the plam grove of Ziz valley. Also we will enjoy a camel ride and magical sunset and sunrise in the Sahara desert of Erg chebbi. The next attractions will be the Route of 1000 Kasbahs where we will discover the Castles/ Kasbah of Telouet and Ait ben Haddou kasbah. before ending our 4 days tour from Fes in the red city of Marrakech.

Itinerary: 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert

DAY 1: FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERRACHIDIA - ZIZ VALLEY - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA

After breakfast the tour from Fes departs for Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, passing Ifrane, a pleasant ski resort called the 'Switzerland of Morocco' because of similarities in landscape, and Azrou, an important artisanal center specializing in woodworking, especially cedar. You then cross the Zad pass at 2178m and arrive in Midelt by lunchtime. In the early afternoon you proceed to Errachidia, the Ziz valley with its palm groves, and then Erfoud. From here you finally reach Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will leave your luggage at your hotel and proceed by camel to a typical Berber camp where you will dine and sleep surrounded by the desert.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA - RISSANI - ERFOUD - TOUROUG - TINJDAD - TINGHIR - TODRA GORGES - BOUMALNE - DADES VALLEY AND GORGES

Wake up early to admire the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes. After that we return by camel to the hotel where breakfast awaits us. We then depart for Rissani and Erfoud where we will visit fossil workshops. We then resume the journey to the Todra Gorges, encountering palm groves and Berber villages on the way. Lunch at the Todra Gorges and then in the early afternoon proceed to Boumalne and the Val-le and Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: DADES GORGES - VALLEY OF THE ROSES - SKOURA - OUARZAZATE

After breakfast we head into the Dades Valley to the kasbah of Ait Youl, cross the Valley of Roses with its kasbahs and ksour and a changing and interesting landscape of palm groves, villages, and mountains. We then arrive in Kelaat M'Gouna where we stop for lunch. In the early afternoon we resume our journey and proceed to the palm grove of Skoura and the Kasbah of Amridil. We then continue until we reach Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - MARRAKECH.

After breakfast the entire morning is devoted to visiting Ouarzazate, the kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios that made this town famous where many films were shot including Gladiator, Obelix and Sahara. Finally, visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the early afternoon we resume the journey to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains.
