Dina 1: Marrakech - Imlil - Camp Base Toubkal

Upon reaching Imlil, you'll meet your mountain guide and start your trek through the Imlil Valley. Your first stop is the village of Aremd, the largest in the valley, known for its traditional terraced farming and lively streets filled with goats and cattle. Continue on to the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, perched on a moraine spur overlooking the valley. The village, nestled beside a small waterfall, is a fascinating jumble of houses that seem to blend into one another.

From here, the trail climbs steadily, zigzagging up to the Toubkal Refuge at an altitude of 3,206 meters, where you will spend the night. This trek, approximately 5 to 6 hours long, offers stunning views and a taste of Berber village life.

Dina 2: Base Camp - Summit Toubkal - imlil

Rise early to embark on your ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak at 4,165 meters. The route takes you up the south cirque, across scree fields, and over numerous boulders and rocks. While the trek is challenging due to the altitude and terrain, the panoramic views are worth every step.

Upon reaching the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking vistas in every direction, from the Marrakech Plain to the Atlas dhuwur in the north, and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara. After soaking in the views, you'll retrace your steps back down the mountain and return to Imlil. Spend the night in a local accommodation. The day's trek is a total of 9 to 10 hours.

Dina 3: Imlil - Ait Ben Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Valley Dades

Depart from Imlil at 9:00 am and embark on a scenic drive over the Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Along the way, you'll pass through numerous desa Berber, witness the transformation from lush valleys to the arid desert, and see kasbah dotting the landscape.

You have the option to visit the Ouarzazate Film Studios or take a detour to Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city that has been the backdrop for many Hollywood films such as "The Mummy," "Gladiator," and "Lawrence of Arabia." Explore the kasbahs and soak in the historical ambiance.

Continue to Dades Gorge, where you can either go for a hike to explore the stunning scenery or relax at your hotel. Overnight in Dades. The total driving time is about 7 to 8 hours.

Dina 4: Alembah Dades - Trodra Gorge - Merzouga

After breakfast, journey from Dades Valley to Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon rising 300 meters high in a narrow valley lined with palm trees and Berber villages. Take a hike to explore the lush palmery and enjoy the serene environment.

Post-lunch, head further into the desert towards Merzouga. Stock up on supplies in this gateway town before proceeding to a kasbah to meet your camels. At sunset, embark on a 1.5-hour camel trek through the desert to a Berber camp. Here, you'll savor a traditional Moroccan dinner and sleep under the stars or in tents. The total driving time is around 6 hours.

Dina 5: Meabila - Marrakeel

Wake up early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise. After a 1.5-hour camel ride exploring the area, return to Merzouga for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Then, begin your journey back to Marrakech through the stony desert and over the Atlas Mountains. Enjoy numerous stops for photos, exploration, and lunch along the way. Expect to arrive in Marrakech between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm after a 10-hour drive.
